1965 – Fiat 600 Multipla

Based on the Fiat 600, which had the engine at the rear and the trunk at the front, and using the front suspension from the 1,100 model (wider), Fiat managed to move the cabin forward, creating a large luggage space between the seats and the engine compartment.
Thus appeared the Fiat 600 Multipla, presented in 1956 at the Brussels Motor Show.
The idea was to expand the 600 line, both for family use and commercial use.
This multi-seater was very versatile through a combination of folding seats, and three versions were produced: with four/five seats, six seats, and a taxi version.
The Fiat 600 Multipla is the first example of the minivan concept, produced in series, worldwide.
