This region competes directly with the Dão Region due to the quality of its wines. Two of the grape varieties that you may find in Bairrada are Baga (a vigorous red grape variety, with small bunches and late ripening) and Bical (a very early grape variety, with high alcoholic potential, producing soft and aromatic wines).
