1929 – Chrysler Imperial (Sedan)

In 1926, Walter P. Chrysler decided to compete with Cadillac and Lincoln in the luxury car market.
Chrysler offers a series of models and styles, ranging from the 4-seat Roadster, 4-seat Coupe, 5-seat Sedan, and 7-seat limousine.
This model on display has some features that were quite advanced for its time, such as: the front windshield rises, operated by a mechanism, to allow fresh air into the car; the driver's seat has adjustable lumbar support (being considered the first car with driver lumbar support); rear seat passengers have a footrest; among others.
There is only knowledge of one other car like this in the entire world.
