Cascais Tour

This tour, departing from the centre of Cascais, explains a little about the history of this town of kings and fishermen, but its history goes back much further, to the Palaeolithic era...
Cascais experienced its greatest boom at the end of the Age of Discovery, with a great deal of activity in its bay, with various navigators bringing ‘good news’, from Nicolau Coelho to Christopher Columbus.
Cascais began as a fishing village, later becoming a summer resort for the Portuguese court, a sanctuary for refugees and an active espionage centre during World War II. Since the first decade of the 20th century, it has been a nationally and internationally renowned tourist destination.
During this tour, you will enjoy not only the bay but also the Citadel, passing by the Paula Rego House of Stories, Guia, Boca do Inferno, with a brief stop to appreciate this rock formation. From there, we will continue to the Cascais Marina and return to the starting point.
